This publication is the first Hungarian-language theoretical and practical guide on job sharing, a concept virtually unknown in Hungary.
Through our research and practical support activities, a form of employment–namely job sharing–has become increasingly clear, and its widespread adoption could offer an alternative to all stakeholders – employees, employers, and society as a whole – in meeting the life management, work organization, employment, and even demographic challenges they face.
In this publication, we aim to present non-traditional solutions that differ from the conventional approach, with a particular focus on a work organization method that is still relatively unknown today: job sharing. In its basic form, job sharing involves the division of a full-time position – including its associated tasks, responsibilities, and salary –between two people.
