Today is the day I’m starting this blog. It’s International Women’s Day, which for me is a day to celebrate women and highlight their knowledge and perspectives. As we approach the choice between the violence raging next door, conforming to power, and freedom, I am proud that a working group on women’s issues, comprising feminist experts and female politicians, has finally been established and has issued a significant anti-war solidarity statement. And today we’re releasing the Women of Music Hungary video titled “Give Peace a Chance!”. I’ve been putting this off for a long time, and though I don’t yet know what will come of it, I feel I can’t wait any longer—I have to stand up for myself, to take a personal stand, even like this. After all, this is what I’ve always talked about in my work so far.
